Milan, Italy | travel video

An hour and a half by train from Genoa and we are already in Milan.

We stayed at a hotel near the train station and immediately upon arrival decided to walk around the city on foot.

I don’t know why, but we decided that if we walked from the station to the central part of the city, we would immediately see all the beauty of Milan.
I immediately remember St. Petersburg with its Moskovsky railway station and Nevsky Prospekt.
But here we first thought that we were on the outskirts of the city and waited to see typical European neighborhoods.

For me, Milan is in no way associated with fashion, shopping, or expensive cars, but primarily associated with football. Since the beginning of the 2000s, football in Italy has been at its peak, which cannot be said about its current position.

After about 25 minutes of a leisurely pace, we finally began to recognize the neighborhoods familiar to Europe.
This is the famous Milan tram. Oh, there are about 150 left and all of them were built in 20-30 years. Naturally, the city is not trying to replace them with more modern counterparts.

Of course, there are a lot of tourists in Milan and it seems that most of them are concentrated around the Gothic Duomo Cathedral - the main business card of Milan.
Milan hosts the most high-profile exhibitions of new products in the world of design and the most fashionable shows.
It is here that a large number of boutiques of famous brands are gathered.

As in any country in the world, there are many tourists from China. As elsewhere - they keep apart. Although it may not be them

The Gallery of Victor Emanuel II is located very close to the Gothic cathedral and now we are just approaching it.

At first, I remembered for a long time where I saw something like that, but I remembered that in 2017 we were in Naples and saw a very similar gallery of Umberto.
This is a rather imposing structure with beautiful architecture and very expensive shops and I doubt people come here for them.

And finally, we come to the Duomo Cathedral, with photographs of which tourists associate Milan.

The cathedral was built for 579 years and it is known, among other things, for the fact that Napoleon was crowned here.
As elsewhere, you can buy a ticket and get inside, but we were in too much of a hurry.

It's time for us to go to one of the most iconic places in Milan - the San Siro stadium.
Surprisingly, we did not find the required metro station right away, and even local residents could not always show the way to the stadium.

The stadium is located very far from the city center, one might say on the outskirts. At least which of the stadiums have you seen in the city center?

This stadium is divided between two famous football teams - Milan and Inter, and what is most surprising is that their locker rooms are very close.

This is how it is - the most famous stadium in Italy. There are practically no empty seats for the matches of Milan against Inter.
Now the stadium has become obsolete. just a minute - it was built in 1925.
And not so long ago there were talks about its reconstruction.
But after studying the materials, the authorities decided to build a new stadium.

That's all for us, thanks for being with us!
